Great location. Just a short walk to Perrache station and the vibrant Place Carnot during the Fête de Lumières. The staff was genuinely helpful. And the hotel has a nice vibe overall.

That was the most horrible hotel I've been to in my life. The room was small. The whole bathroom there is made of some plastic, and the toilet and shower are extremely close. The towels were rough and looked not clean, I do not know for what reason they brought me four towels. They were all hanged up in one place, half of them ended up on the floor. The breakfast consists of some tasteless small croussons, some mueslis, youghurt, bread, one kind of cheese, there was no ham, no fresh fruits, no cookies, no nothing. That was definitely not worth of 8 euros paid for it. You do not get a hairdryer there by default, you got to go to reception and ask them to give you a hairdryer. Internet is slow, and you always need to log in with the password once you turn on the computer, that's extremely annoying. All in all, if you go for a price - it's better to choose a hostel than this, if you go for a quality - it's better to pay 20 euros more to stay in a decent hotel.

Location: the hotel was adjacent to lots of shops, the Presqu'ile in Lyon in early May, and Gare Perrache train/bus/metro/tram stations, one of the main hubs in the Lyon public transport system. The staff were all efficient and the breakfast was exceptionally nice with cheese and great coffee, for example...

Convenient location within easy walking distance to Perrache Station. Free wifi in room using your personal laptop. Breakfast is available for extra if you desire.
Having stayed here several times before, our room this time (#5) had a musty oder. While generally clean, the a/c vent (return) over the door was clogged with thick dust. This may have been the reason for the musty smell. The bathroom tile grout was black & could use a bleaching. The room was fine for a short stay & more comfortable for one person. For 2 people, it was a bit tight. When the drapes were closed, the curtains were somewhat in the bed with you. Also, all rooms do not have a/C. If this is important to you, be sure to get specific confirmation. Lyon can be quite warm in the summer. We asked for a room that we had previously which was more acceptable to us. It was available but we were denied access. They said they preferred to keep it available as an option for a third person or a child because it was a little roomier & they could put a cot or a crib in it if needed. We were disappointed there was no loyalty to a past guest. We generally pass thru the area once a year & will now consider other options.

The hotel is great location, just a short stroll from Perrache station. The room was spacious enough for my family, including our little dog, and the cozy lobby had a distinct charm. We particularly enjoyed the nearby restaurants and cafes.
My wife says that the air conditioning wasn't very effective.

Good value for money, clean, pleasant staff. Have stayed once before in 2010 & returned because of the previous stated comments. Have a booking again in several weeks to stay here. Would recommend.

The hotel's air conditioning was a relief during my summer trip, and the nearby pastry shops added a lovely touch.
Room could be small for longer stays.

I stayed in this hotel at the beginning of april so maybe that's why my stay was very comfortable, calm and without any big problem
I didn't like the TV set very much, it was vista so the loading was very slow. Also near the hotel was the school so in the morning it was very noisy. And yhe location of the hotel it''s not so comfortable, it takes 15-20 minutes to the old center of the town and 30-35 minutes to the train station (on foot)
